Leslie was a trustee with Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia for over five years and volunteered with them for over 10 years. Through her BHRG connections, she was contacted about dachshunds because they knew she was a sucker for doxies. Leslie personally rescued dachshunds and placed them herself. When she moved from Georgia to Tennessee, she decided it was time to take her personal rescues a step further and TDR was formed.
Ashley got sucked into rescue when she married Leslie. The two met through Tennessee Dachshund Rescue, and the rest is history. Now Ashley is a catch all, do all for the rescue. She came into the marriage and rescue with her dachshund Weens and adopted Mr. Uppy from TDR. You will often find Ashley running vet interference.
